School Attendance is a parent's responsibility

The success of any truancy prevention program depends on the full participation of everyone involved, especially the parents. The truancy center staff will offer every resource available to us, to the children and families with whom we interact. However, at the heart of the matter is the role of the parent. Parents promote the positive values that their children will follow. In the interest of the educational well being of their children, it is very important that parents encourage school attendance daily.
